This piece was the first complete oil painting I've ever done. It is meant to represent the indifferent and dismissive way these systems and institutions that we rely on fail to help the most vulnerable of us. Liberty and freedom are selectively applies while many of us are viewed as little more than statistics in a system. The piece stays close to my typical style of black portraiture with a vibrant and radiant color palette.
